About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. As a Consultant Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a key role in delivering an SLT service and providing support to individuals with Learning Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Main Responsibilities

As a SLT, you will be responsible for assessing communication needs, implementing evidence-based therapy, and providing functional targets and recommendations to aid day-to-day communicative success. You will work closely with a range of individuals, including those with complex needs and challenging behaviors, to maximize their potential and enable them to enjoy the best possible quality of life.

About the Team

Our team is highly experienced and trained in supporting young people with communication challenges and sensory needs, learning difficulties, and mood barriers. We offer a supportive and collaborative work environment, with opportunities for clinical supervision, developmental opportunities, and research support.

Requirements
  • Postgraduate diploma in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent
  • Registration with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Experience working with individuals with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism Spectrum Disorders
  • Preferably experience with AAC approaches
