About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team at Harbour Place, a brand-new extra care scheme in Workington. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, enabling them to live independently and maintain their dignity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and assistance to residents, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
  • Support residents with their daily living activities, such as meal preparation, laundry, and household chores.
  • Encourage residents to participate in social activities and engage in conversation to build trusted relationships.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to identify and assess the needs of residents, and develop individualized care plans to meet their needs.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of residents at all times, and report any concerns or incidents to a manager.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of care and support provided, and contribute to the development of care plans and policies.
Requirements
  • Experience of working in a customer-focused, residential environment, offering personal care to a diverse group of people.
  • Awareness of housing and health and safety legislation and regulation, including National Care Standards.
  • Flexibility to work hours to meet customer and business needs, which may include working outside of normal office hours and lone working.
  • Basic administrative skills and IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
