About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and caring individual to join our team as a Care Assistant at Harbour Place in Workington. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, enabling them to live independently and maintain their dignity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support to residents, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation and household chores
  • Encourage residents to participate in social activities and engage in conversation to build trusted relationships
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to identify and address the needs of residents
  • Maintain accurate records of care and support provided, ensuring confidentiality and adhering to Riverside's policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Experience of working in a customer-focused, residential environment
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
  • Basic administrative skills and IT proficiency
  • Desirable: awareness of CQC standards and experience of providing direct care to a diverse group of customers
