Job Title: Customs Clerk Team Leader/Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Customs Clerk Team Leader/Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Manager and Supervisor with all aspects of the Customs brokerage Department, ensuring the proper and timely movement of freight, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist Manager and Supervisor with all aspects of the Customs brokerage Department.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operating system.
  • Allocate workloads, monitor workboards to ensure internal KPI's are met.
  • Assist in retention calls and complete customer reviews with regular customers.
  • Proactively communicate with the team to ensure continuous awareness and understanding of policies and regulations.
  • Solve problems in a timely and resolute manner, escalating to management when necessary.
Job Execution:
  • Consistently complete quality work that matches job expectations.
  • Be committed to operational excellence and continuous improvement for own job function and across the network.
  • Ensure all activities are compliant with company policies/procedures and government regulations.
Personal Growth and Development:
  • Participate in training within the company's guidelines, completing at least 52 hours of relevant training per year.
  • Complete required training in a timely manner with minimal reminders.
  • Pursue professional development goals for self, including participating in a development plan as appropriate.
Requirements:
  • Pro-active approach, strong organizational and computer skills.
  • Good computer skills (MS Excel, MS Word).
  • Fluent in English.
