Internal Audit & Risk Manager

This position offers a remarkable opportunity to oversee Internal Audit within an organization that prioritizes growth and embraces innovative working methods.

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will manage all Internal Audit functions and engage in a variety of audit and advisory projects, gaining exposure to senior leadership and strategic initiatives. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct high-quality audits in line with established audit methodologies, presenting findings through clear and concise reports while effectively engaging and influencing stakeholders to foster continuous improvement. This role will provide visibility to the Executive Committee and Audit Committee.

The position will operate in a hybrid model, combining office and remote work.

Key responsibilities include:

· Leveraging your expertise to influence, support, and execute risk-based audit engagements and integrated audits.

· Building and maintaining effective relationships across the organization.

· Conducting audits in compliance with audit methodologies (IIA Compliant), performing fieldwork with a focus on quality and detail to identify control weaknesses and their root causes.

· Overseeing co-sourced audits performed through third-party agreements.

· Preparing high-quality audit reports, including appropriate recommendations for remediation.

· Compiling internal audit updates for the Executive Committee, Audit Committee, and PLC Board.

· Leading the annual audit planning process.

· Monitoring and reporting on the implementation of management actions within agreed timelines, preparing updates for Executive and Audit Committee reports.

· Managing the identification and implementation of continuous improvements (e.g., methodology, training, action tracking, scheduling).

· Acting as a deputy for the CFO in key meetings and committees as necessary, such as the Executive Committee and Audit Committee.

· Overseeing the MKI audit system.

Essential qualifications include:

· Professional chartered accountant qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIA).

· A minimum of five years of experience in Internal Audit, risk, and control activities.

· Exceptional report writing and verbal communication skills.

· Proven experience working with senior stakeholders and the ability to effectively convey key messages and influence them appropriately.

· Strong judgment and decision-making skills.

· Demonstrated ability to engage stakeholders effectively, explaining issues in a balanced and accurate manner while maintaining auditor objectivity and independence.

· Experience in delivering project assurance assignments (not mandatory).

· Strong commercial awareness.

· Ability to work with minimal supervision.

· Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
