Job Description

Orbit Communications, a leading integrated communications agency, is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Account Manager to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in our continued success by delivering exceptional service and driving business growth.

Main Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management: Manage client relationships, ensuring they receive structured and strategic communications advice and support.
  • Communication Strategy: Work in close consultation with clients to plan and implement communication strategies on their behalf.
  • Project Management: Coordinate web design and brand development, community engagement planning, attendance, and management.
  • Media and Policy Engagement: Oversee and implement press and media engagement KPIs on behalf of clients, assist clients to develop positive relationships with target stakeholders and influence decision-making and political processes.
  • Team Collaboration: Confidently lead and manage multi-client portfolios spanning different policy sectors on budget and on time, manage relationships with journalists and the media on behalf of clients.
  • Content Creation: Write copy for opinion pieces to be shared on social media as well as placed in traditional media, draft public affairs strategies, policy briefings, and statutory documents.
  • Business Development: Identify and lead new client pitches and tenders, contribute analysis and opinion pieces to increase the company's profile, draft social media calendars and recommend sponsorship opportunities.
  • Reputation Management: Proactively manage social media channels on behalf of clients to positively manage their reputation and raise their profile, draft media and policy copy in a range of styles and formats and to a consistently high standard.
  • Research and Analysis: Daily media and political monitoring and background research on clients' behalf, where appropriate, sell additional design and digital services that can further assist the client in achieving their communications objectives.
  • Representation: Actively participate in new client pitches to secure new business for the company, represent the company at events and conferences.
