Cosmic Ray Effects on Electronics Industrial Placement Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an industrial placement student in the field of cosmic ray effects on electronics. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a cutting-edge project that has significant implications for the development of advanced electronic systems.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research on the effects of cosmic rays on electronic devices and systems
- Develop and implement new methods for testing and characterizing the effects of cosmic rays on electronics
- Collaborate with international users to develop and implement new experiments and techniques
- Perform data analysis and interpretation to understand the effects of cosmic rays on electronics
- Develop software for data analysis and visualization
- Currently enrolled on an undergraduate degree course and returning to university/studies to complete your undergraduate degree following the placement
- Required or have requested to take an industrial placement year
- Have the right to live and work in the UK for the duration of the placement
- Able to commence employment in summer 2025
- Good interpersonal and communications skills
- Demonstrated ability and initiative in solving technical and scientific problems
- Enthusiasm, motivation, and initiative
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- High degree of responsibility, commitment, and reliability
