Counsellor - Substance Misuse

Service Care Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Counsellor to join their team in the South Yorkshire area. The successful candidate will work with a national rehabilitation and detox service, providing specialised care for alcoholism, drug addictions, behavioural issues like eating disorders, and mental health disorders. Key responsibilities include contributing to regular reviews of the client with probation and health workers, helping individuals address their substance use and offending behaviour, and exploring, implementing, and supervising a range of approaches, activities, and exercises designed to promote health and support individuals through detoxification/stabilisation. Essential criteria for the Counsellor role include experience of direct work with substance-misusing clients, a Level 4 or higher qualification in Counselling or equivalent, and two years' experience of direct client work with at least one year's experience of working with substance misuse in a therapeutic setting. The ideal candidate will have a flexible open approach and proven communication skills in the management of staff, volunteers, and clients, as well as proven skills in planning and administration. The company offers a range of benefits, including employee mentoring, free parking, health & wellbeing programme, on-site parking, and store discount. A £250 Referral Bonus is also available for successful referrals.
