Position: Print Lead Operator – Day Shift

Compensation: £32,983

We are seeking a dedicated Print Lead Operator to join our esteemed team at Devonshire. This role is crucial for overseeing the daily operations within our print production environment.

The facility excels in providing comprehensive document services, encompassing both outbound and inbound operations. Our capabilities include printing, mailing, and warehousing, which support a variety of clients with their document management needs.

Role Objectives

The Print Lead Operator plays a vital role in ensuring operational excellence. You will be responsible for managing daily tasks while also supporting the Senior Operator in key areas such as Health and Safety compliance, Service Level Agreement (SLA) fulfillment, and workload management. Your leadership will foster a positive and collaborative work atmosphere.

In the absence of the Senior Operator, you will assume leadership responsibilities, ensuring adherence to Health and Safety standards, SLA commitments, and overseeing planning activities, particularly during weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with established quality standards and operational processes
  • Effectively mentor and guide team members
  • Monitor team performance and allocate resources to meet SLAs
  • Track quality and throughput metrics for operators
  • Drive initiatives for continuous improvement
  • Assist in identifying areas for process enhancement through improvement methodologies

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Competence in using PCs and Microsoft Office applications
  • DMAIC Certification is a plus
  • Prior experience in the print industry is essential

This position operates on an annualized hour shift schedule, averaging 35 hours per week. Flexibility is required, as you may need to work more than 11 shifts within a two-week timeframe. A new shift plan will be provided biannually.
