Position: Print Lead Operator – Day Shift

Location: Wymondham, Norfolk

Compensation: £32,983

We are seeking a Print Lead Operator to join our esteemed client in Wymondham, Norfolk.

This facility is dedicated to the production of both outbound and inbound document services, featuring capabilities in printing, mailing, and warehousing to support outbound mail as well as the electronic receipt, capture, validation, and storage of inbound documents. Additionally, the site hosts Production Services, Finance, and IT departments, providing comprehensive services for a diverse clientele.

Role Purpose

The Print Lead Operator plays a pivotal role at the Paragon Abbey View site. This position involves overseeing daily operational tasks while assisting Senior Operators with responsibilities that include Health and Safety compliance, Service Level Agreement (SLA) fulfillment, and managing peak workloads. A significant aspect of this role is to foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

In the absence of the Senior Operator, you will assume leadership for Health and Safety protocols, SLA adherence, and planning activities, including full supervision during weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to established quality standards and processes in all tasks, promoting best practices.
  • Exhibit effective coaching skills to enhance team performance.
  • Monitor team productivity and allocate staff as needed to meet SLAs.
  • Ensure that Operators meet quality and throughput objectives.
  • Drive and support initiatives for continuous improvement.
  • Assist in identifying process inefficiencies through continuous improvement strategies.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in meeting tight deadlines.
  • Competency in using PCs and Microsoft applications.
  • DMAIC Certification is preferred.
  • Prior experience in the printing industry is essential.

This position operates on an annualized hour shift pattern, averaging 35 hours per week over the course of a year. There may be a requirement to work more than 11 shifts within any two-week timeframe, with a new shift plan provided every six months.
