We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Ward Sister/Charge Nurse to join our team at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a clinical leader to take on a key role in the Same Day Emergency Care Unit, leading a team of nursing professionals and contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the ward team and build successful links between nursing and other professions to support and promote effective multi-disciplinary team working.
- Develop the role of other team members, supporting them in gaining the appropriate competencies to achieve the required standards of care.
- Motivate all team members and lead innovation and expertise in clinical practice by example.
- Take responsibility for ensuring that all learners in their area are appropriately supported and competently assessed in line with NMC guidelines and other professional bodies.
- Recognised NMC Teaching and Assessing Qualification or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years post registration including 2 years at band 6 level.
- Demonstrate complex decision making skills.
