**Job Summary**

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Manchester City Council team as a Registered Manager for a 2-bed residential home. As a key member of our Children's Residential Service, you will be responsible for managing a full staff team and a team of casual workers, working alongside CAMH's practitioners and other professionals involved in the formulation of plans.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Manage a 2-bed residential home, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for children and young people.
  • Lead a full staff team, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care and support.
  • Work closely with CAMH's practitioners and other professionals to develop and implement individual care plans.
  • Ensure compliance with the Children's Homes regulations and Quality Standards.
  • Have knowledge of evidence-based practice and research in relation to looked-after children and experience of regulatory inspections, including Ofsted and Regulation 44 independent visits.

**Requirements**

  • Must hold a Diploma level 3 or above in caring for children and young people.
  • Must hold or be willing to undertake and able to attain a Diploma Level 5 in Leadership and Management within 6 months of appointment.
  • DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance.
  • Essential Car Documentation - a full valid driving licence and provision of own car for use at work.

**About the Role**

This is an exciting time to join our Children's Residential Service as we expand our service provision to provide the best outcomes for our children in Manchester. Our children have a right to homes where they feel happy, safe, and where caregivers are aspirational for their futures.

We are creating a team who will be well supported and skilled in trauma-based approaches to work alongside our children and young people who will have a range of different needs, with a particular focus on children in need of discharge from hospital due to triggers of mental health.
