Job Title: Locum Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology to join our award-winning team at Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our Diabetes and Endocrinology services.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Diabetes and Endocrinology, with experience in managing acute medical emergencies and taking full responsibility for patient care. You will be expected to work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, including nurses, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals, to provide comprehensive care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care in Diabetes and Endocrinology
  • Contribute to the development of our Diabetes and Endocrinology services
  • Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team
  • Manage acute medical emergencies
  • Take full responsibility for patient care
Requirements
  • MRCP or equivalent
  • Entry on the Specialist Register in Diabetes and Endocrinology
  • Higher Degree
  • Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining CCT in Diabetes and Endocrinology and also GIM
  • Ability to take full and independent responsibility for the management of acute medical emergencies
  • Ability to take full and independent responsibility for the care of patients
