About The Position

**This role requires the successful candidate to commit to 35 hours per week, across 38 weeks during the academic year, with a salary of £16,439 pro rata per annum. Additionally, a holiday payment of £2,218 will be distributed evenly across your monthly salary payments.**

As an Educational Support Specialist at EKC Group, your primary responsibility will be to assist students with significant needs as they pursue various subjects and qualifications ranging from entry level to level 3, including Functional Skills and GCSEs in English and Maths.

The students you will support may present a diverse array of learning challenges and/or disabilities. Your role will involve aiding them in their educational journey, work placements, and, when necessary, their personal care and welfare requirements.

About You

We are looking for individuals with strong communication abilities, a solid understanding of behavior management, and a genuine passion for motivating students to engage actively in their learning. If you thrive under pressure, this position is ideal for you.

You should be dedicated to supporting students with high needs and ideally possess prior experience working with individuals who have visual and/or hearing impairments, global developmental delays, and language and communication challenges.

In this role, you will collaborate with a team to assist students in small groups and during lectures who may have: Autistic Spectrum Conditions, Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, Global Learning Delays, Language and Communication difficulties, Sensory issues, or Physical needs. This may also involve personal care, mobility assistance, and addressing specific medical or feeding requirements. While experience with these needs is advantageous, training will be provided.
