Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Migration Manager to lead our 12-month project to migrate data from a legacy case management system to a new system. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the data migration process, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in data migration planning, data quality management, and risk management. You will be responsible for developing a detailed plan for the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from the old system to the new case management system.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Data Migration Planning: Develop a comprehensive plan for the data migration process, including data mapping documentation and data quality assessment.
  2. Data Quality Management: Ensure that the data being migrated is clean, accurate, and complete, and identify potential risks in the data migration process.
  3. Collaboration with Other Teams: Work closely with IT, business analysts, and test teams to ensure that data migration aligns with the new system's requirements.
  4. Risk Management: Identify and develop mitigation strategies for potential risks in the data migration process.
  5. Execution of Data Migration: Oversee the actual migration process, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  6. Post-Migration Validation: Conduct post-migration audits and checks to ensure that all data has been correctly transferred and is functioning as expected in the new system.
