Job Overview
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Data Migration Lead to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of a major project to update our case management system, migrating all our data onto a new platform.
Job Responsibilities
The Data Migration Lead will be responsible for:
- Data Migration Planning: Developing a detailed plan for the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from the old system to the new case management system.
- Data Quality Management: Ensuring that the data being migrated is clean, accurate, and complete.
- Collaboration with Other Teams: Working closely with IT, business analysts, and test teams to ensure that data migration aligns with the new system's requirements.
- Risk Management: Identifying potential risks in the data migration process, such as data loss or corruption, and developing mitigation strategies.
- Execution of Data Migration: Overseeing the actual migration process, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Post-Migration Validation: Conducting post-migration audits and checks to ensure that all data has been correctly transferred and is functioning as expected in the new system.
