Job Title: Deputy Care Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Care Manager to join our team at BlueGreen Recruit. As a Deputy Care Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Registered Manager in ensuring the delivery of efficient and effective services.
  • Provide exceptional care to residents, meeting and exceeding their diverse needs.
  • Assume responsibility for the services provided by the home, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Administer and order medicines in accordance with residents' needs and the home's policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with residents' GPs and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Engage in care planning and implementation of care plans, ensuring residents' needs are met.
  • Continuously review and develop new skills and knowledge through professional development training.
  • Work closely with the care team to ensure effective and high-quality care is delivered.
  • Make efficient use of resources, ensuring the home's financial affairs are managed effectively.
Requirements:
  • Level 4 in Health and Social Care or transferable qualification.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, regulation, and practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Ability to advise and make informed decisions.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the Care Act 2014, Care Quality Commission Fundamental Standards, and other relevant legislation.
Desirable:
  • Level 5 or equivalent in management or Health and Social Care.
  • Experience of running health and social care services within a residential setting.
  • Knowledge of Safeguarding Risk Assessment and Health and Safety legislation.
