About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Care Manager to join our team at BlueGreen Recruit. As a key member of our care management team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Registered Manager in the overall management of the residential care home, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Assume responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home in the absence of the Registered Manager.
  • Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of residents, in consultation with residents, their families, and the care team.
  • Administer and order medications in accordance with residents' needs and the home's policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with residents' General Practitioners and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Manage and motivate staff to ensure effective and efficient care delivery.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, making recommendations for improvement as necessary.
  • Assist the Registered Manager in maintaining accurate records and financial management.
  • Participate in recruitment, training, and development of staff to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
Requirements
  • Level 4 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of working at a management or senior level in a residential care setting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, regulation, and practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Full driving license and vehicle owner.
