We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Deputy Home Manager to join our team at one of our residential homes. As a Deputy Home Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the home, supporting the Registered Manager in the delivery of high-quality care and services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Management: Provide leadership and guidance to care staff, communicating a clear sense of direction and vision for the home.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all staff are putting policy into practice and are performing to expected standards. Identify areas for improvement and implement changes as necessary.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, staff, and external stakeholders, including parents and social workers.
  • Communication: Ensure effective communication systems are in place, including record keeping, reports, and home correspondence.
  • Staff Development: Support the development of care staff, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.

Requirements

  • Experience in a similar role or in a care or education setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with residents, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
