Job Description

Job Summary

Bambridge Lee Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to oversee and coordinate electrical installations and activities on construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in electrical systems, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage and motivate a team of electricians.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contract Management
    • Oversee the preparation, negotiation, and execution of electrical contracts.
    • Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
    • Manage contract modifications and variations.
  • Project Management
    • Plan, schedule, and manage electrical projects, ensuring they meet deadlines and budgets.
    • Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
    • Monitor project progress and performance, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Client Relations
    • Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding contract-related matters.
    • Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.
    • Provide regular updates to clients on project status and progress.
  • Financial Management
    • Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and financial accountability.
    • Approve and track project expenses, invoices, and payments.
    • Conduct financial analysis and reporting on project performance.
  • Quality Assurance
    • Ensure all work meets industry standards, regulations, and client specifications.
    • Conduct site inspections and quality control checks.
    • Implement and maintain quality assurance processes and documentation.
  • Health and Safety
    • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on all project sites.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
    • Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead, mentor, and motivate project teams and subcontractors.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide training and development opportunities.
    • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Documentation and Reporting
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, plans, schedules, and reports.
    • Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and clients.
    • Ensure all project records are properly archived.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical project management or contracts management, with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction practices, and industry standards.
  • Project Management: Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Financial Acumen: Proficient in budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing issues.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams to achieve project goals.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all aspects of work.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, project management software, and other relevant IT tools.
