Aramark UK is seeking an experienced and dedicated Commis Chef to join our team at Uppingham School, Rutland. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for pupils, supporting with food orders, and maintaining kitchen records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook meals for pupils, adhering to recipe cards and ensuring compliance with allergens and Natasha's law.
  • Support with food orders, deliveries, and stock checks.
  • Monitor and record temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets, and serveries.
  • Assist with daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of all menu items served.
Requirements
  • Experience operating as a Commis Chef or above.
  • Organized with a hands-on ability and strong work ethic.
  • Passion for people and food.
  • A full UK driving license.

A Day in the Life of a Commis Chef

As a Commis Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for pupils, supporting with food orders, and maintaining kitchen records. You will work closely with the Head Chef and Group Executive Chef to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen.
