About the Role

We are looking for a Placement Coordinator to provide tailored support to students and employers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining sustainable relationships with employers and different industry sectors.

You will work closely with our clients to develop placement and professional development opportunities for students. Your duties will include:

  • Maintaining and growing a database of placement providers with suitable opportunities
  • Connecting employers with students
  • Ensuring accurate work placement and student records are maintained
  • Compiling reports as needed
  • Developing online resources to support students undertaking work placement opportunities
  • Conducting one-to-one meetings with students to prepare them for placements
  • Delivering pre-placement preparation workshops
  • Supporting the development of internal employability framework (CREATE)
  • Providing advice to students on CVs and covering letters, and directing them to resources for interviews and other recruitment processes
  • Leading on the development of internal placement opportunities for students
  • Working proactively with students to encourage take-up of placements
  • Facilitating the full recruitment cycle, including advertising opportunities, shortlisting candidates, and providing feedback

We are looking for a candidate with prior experience working in a careers services, placement environment, or recruitment services role within further education, higher education, or apprenticeships. A level 3 IAG qualification is also desirable.
