Are you a seasoned senior in children's residential care looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Manager to join our team at CareTech Group.

About the Role:

As a Deputy Manager, you will assist the Registered Manager in achieving the aims and objectives of our Statement of Purpose. You will deputise in their absence, support and manage staff to meet the needs of children and young people, and undertake direct work with them as appropriate.

You will be responsible for managing child protection concerns and complaints, working in partnership with other professionals to achieve optimum outcomes for young people, and offering supervision and support to senior staff in line with care quality standards and children's homes regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Registered Manager in achieving the aims and objectives of the Statement of Purpose
  • Deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager
  • Support and manage staff to meet the needs of children and young people
  • Undertake direct work with children and young people as appropriate
  • Manage child protection concerns and complaints
  • Work in partnership with other professionals to achieve optimum outcomes for young people
  • Offer supervision and support to senior staff
Requirements:
  • Diploma 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Working towards or holds a level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare
  • Current driving license
  • 1 year's relevant supervisory experience in the care sector
