Overview

As a vital member of the Capital Delivery Eastern (CDE) assurance team, you will engage in identifying and executing assurance activities based on team findings. Your proactive planning will align with governance elements and assurance requirements to enhance business performance, collaborating with team members as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and evaluate all assurance activities within CDE to ensure consistency and high-quality assurance data.
  • Develop comprehensive remits, scopes, and protocols for all CDE assurance and principal contractor tasks, establishing a program to implement the CDE assurance framework.
  • Deliver regular updates on assurance activities, summarizing national and route trends, and identifying the need for national action plans to foster a risk-based assurance culture.
  • Collaborate with assurance team members to create a holistic view of assurance across CDE.
  • Manage the self-assurance process of principal contractors, fostering a collaborative relationship with the supply chain and promoting best practices.
  • Encourage effective assurance practices by coordinating with other assurance leads on audit-related issues and advocating for innovative techniques to enhance assurance quality across Capital Delivery.
  • Formulate an effective plan that addresses the needs of both internal and external stakeholders, promoting best practices and sharing insights with the supply chain.
  • Assist in supplier risk evaluations to address deficiencies and develop improvement plans that ensure compliance of principal contractors with CDE standards.
  • Contribute detailed insights for the creation of business plans and the development of program/project plans.
  • Identify training requirements in safety, technical, and management domains for personnel under your supervision, contributing to their professional growth.

Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

Essential:

  • Membership in a recognized professional institute.
  • Lead Auditor qualification (IATCA / IRCA).
  • Proven experience in an assurance or audit capacity.
  • Exceptional report writing and presentation abilities.
  • Strong supplier relationship management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, particularly CDM.

Desirable:

  • Understanding of project and contract management principles.
  • Familiarity with Power-BI, Power-Automate, and Microsoft Forms.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification.
