Uniserve Holdings Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior European Operator to join our team. As a key member of our logistics and supply chain operations, you will be responsible for managing and developing our European road and multimodal services.
Key Responsibilities- Client Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met with high levels of service and promoting Uniserve's European services to both prospective and existing clients.
- Operational Management: Utilize One World as the primary operating system to manage and monitor all shipments, ensuring accurate and timely entry into the platform.
- Freight Operations: Plan and manage groupage, part load, and full load trailers for both imports and exports, coordinating with overseas partners and suppliers to arrange transportation.
- Customs Documentation: Prepare and oversee the submission of customs documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Financial Oversight: Ensure all files are correctly costed, charged, and completed, with prompt raising of sales invoices and accurate allocation of all expected costs.
- Reporting & Analysis: Monitor and report new and lost clients on a weekly basis, providing insights to supervisors and management.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in European road freight operations, with proficiency in cost management and a comprehensive understanding of freight terms.
- Technical Skills: Strong capability in calculating cube, loading metres, and chargeable weight, with a basic understanding of customs procedures.
- Commercial Acumen: Demonstrated ability to understand accounting processes and exhibit commercial awareness to maximise profitability.
- Communication: Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Organisational Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and organisational ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
