About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Operations Manager to join our team at The Workshop. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing a team of trade operatives to ensure that repairs are undertaken efficiently and cost-effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Management: Manage a team of trade operatives to ensure that repairs are undertaken safely and within specified timescales.
  • Performance Monitoring: Hold regular performance meetings with team members to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Training and Development: Assist with training and development of team members through toolbox talks, coaching, and other initiatives.
  • Quality Assurance: Undertake quality assessments to ensure that repairs meet required standards and provide instructions to rectify any defects or uncompleted works.
  • Customer Liaison: Liaise with tenants to resolve issues and manage expectations regarding the scope of service provision.
  • Administrative Tasks: Ensure that all administrative work is carried out accurately and in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of trade operations, including carpentry, plumbing, roofing, groundworks, and decorating.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage a team and coordinate repairs.
  • Commercial Awareness: Good commercial awareness and understanding of the impact of costs on the business.
  • Qualifications: SSSTS or SMSTS qualification and a clean, manual, UK driving license.
