Highways Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:
Colas Limited is seeking a skilled Highways Maintenance Operative to join our team in Portsmouth. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out various repairs to the highway as instructed by our Confirm management system. Your duties will include ensuring the works are carried out in a safe manner, with regards to colleagues and members of the public.
Main Responsibilities:
- Carry out various repairs to the highway as required, ensuring a high standard of work to avoid repeat visits.
- Ensure vehicles are kept tidy and that vehicle defect sheets are completed daily.
- Report all incidents immediately to a supervisor.
- Ensure a point of work risk assessment is carried out before commencing works.
- Respect colleagues and members of the public, and sign and guarded working areas in accordance with the NRSWA Red book.
Requirements:
- Broad knowledge and experience of construction/civil engineering in a reactive environment.
- 'The New Roads and Street Works' (NRSWA) ticket.
- CSCS card.
- A valid UK driving licence.
- CAT and Genny is desirable and not essential.
