- sterile & all aseptic manufactured items produced within the manufacturing unit, ensuring completion of the batch records and all necessary paperwork Act as troubleshooter within aseptic suite for areas of competence. Responsible for undertaking pre
- and in-process checks within the aseptic suite of aseptically prepared products according to defined work instructions to ensure products are prepared to specification and that quality is upheld. Take appropriate action to deal with any deviations as necessary to ensure patient safety is not compromised at any time in the preparation process Ensure through supervision that all gassing, cleaning and monitoring required for the service (isolators and associated rooms) is undertaken according to established procedures and results are documented.

To ensure any deviations from approved processes are immediately reported to the Operations Manager Assist the Senior Technician Production in ensuring that an appropriate working environment is maintained in the aseptic suite, by ensuring that regular cleaning schedules for the equipment and plant within the area are maintained and documented to the required standard Carry out accuracy checks on assembled items prior to production within the aseptic areas to ensure ingredients selected comply with that stated on the batch sheet To ensure completion of the batch records and necessary paperwork and to take appropriate action to deal with any deviations or errors so that there is no risk to product integrity Prepare the batch production of all types of products (aseptic and non-sterile) and ensure product accountability and reconciliation is safeguarded at all times, and that batch sheets and corresponding components are ready and available for use Work with Senior Production Technicians to ensure the schedule is followed so that customer deadlines are met Carry out final checks on non
- sterile & aseptic manufactured items produced within the manufacturing unit, ensuring completion of the batch records and all necessary paperwork Comply with departmental work instructions, Health and Safety documentation and written and verbal directions from senior staff. Maintain safe systems of work within the section to ensure compliance with Health and Safety at Work Act and NHS guidance Undertake in-house training and all necessary academic, practical and portfolio building work in order to achieve accreditation to carry out role. Assist in the training of all grades of staff under the guidance and supervision of senior staff, using written training programmes to ensure trainees are fully competent and ready for assessment by suitably qualified staff Act as mentor to less qualified staff members / new members of staff within the constraints of current role If required, advise the Senior / Chief Technician Production on amending working practices which would improve the running of the service, the quality of the service provided and improvement in Health and Safety issues/COSSH Contribute to the Pharmacy preparation workforce through participation in weekend and Bank Holiday working as required
