Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Wayman Learning Trust. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse needs and assisting teaching staff in delivering high-quality education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs, promoting their academic and personal growth.
  • Assist teaching staff in lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring a tailored approach to meet the needs of all students.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring students receive targeted support and interventions.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to identify and address areas of need, developing strategies to improve student outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of supporting students with diverse needs, including those with autism, ADHD, and other special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A clear DBS check and legal right to work in the UK.
