Business Development and Performance Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Consultant to join our award-winning Defined Contribution (DC) team at Legal & General Group.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering profitable DC Pensions business development strategies, strengthening relationships with Employee Benefits Consultants (EBCs), and establishing new direct prospects to achieve LGIM's DC growth targets.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Deliver Business Development Strategies: Work alongside Senior Business Development Directors to develop and deliver profitable DC Pensions business development strategies, focusing on key EBC relationships and establishing new direct prospects.
- Build and Maintain Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with EBCs, ensuring they understand the Legal & General proposition and are well-positioned for opportunities.
- Internal Collaboration: Manage internal relationships between Business Development Directors and the Acquisition support team to ensure new opportunities are well-researched and proposals are tailored to each prospect.
- Client Retention: Manage internal relationships between Client Relationship Managers and the Acquisition support team to ensure existing client retention opportunities are fully bespoke and reflect the existing relationship with Legal & General.
- Market Research: Research the wider DC market using known databases to prioritize direct-to-employer opportunities.
- DC Pensions Knowledge: Possess a strong understanding of DC Pensions, investment funds, and unbundled investment products.
- Communication Skills: Demonstrate a high standard of written English and strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Market Understanding: Possess an understanding of the DC Pensions marketplace.
