We are a leading research institution in Cambridge, dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge and innovation. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Cleanroom Technician.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining equipment in our cleanrooms, managing lab waste, ensuring supplies are well stocked, and collecting samples for analysis from research staff. This is a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the maintenance and operation of cleanroom equipment, including pressurized systems and chemical handling.
  • Manage lab waste and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of supplies and equipment.
  • Collect and prepare samples for analysis by research staff.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the efficient operation of laboratory facilities.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a laboratory or cleanroom environment, preferably with knowledge of chemical handling and pressurized systems.
  • Strong health and safety awareness and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Good general education, including Mathematics, English, and Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic IT skills and proficiency in using laboratory software and equipment.
