About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Dräger. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, visitors, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely, practical, and professional occupational health and safety advice to management and employees.
  • Develop and promote a positive health and safety culture within the organization.
  • Assist in the promotion, development, and review of our accredited safety management system (ISO).
  • Facilitate the generation and review of risk assessments.
  • Deliver internal health and safety training courses.
  • Undertake health and safety inspections independently and in conjunction with line management.
  • Assist with the incident investigation process, including receiving and investigating reports of adverse events and working with management to determine their causes and make recommendations for prevention.
  • Maintain the tracking system for recording, reporting, investigating, and actioning adverse events, risk assessments, inspections, and tours.
  • Maintain the health and safety intranet site and generate periodic reports and presentations on performance.
  • Deputise for the Head of Health and Safety as necessary.

Requirements
  • NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent (essential)
  • NEBOSH Diploma (desirable)
  • IT literate and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
  • Knowledge of Power BI (desirable)
  • Industrial background in an H&S advisory role (ideally)
  • Experience in major H&S topics, including risk assessment, inspection, audit, and systems management
  • Good written skills for drafting reports and safety procedures
  • Ability to generate presentations and training materials using Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Capacity for analytical thought
  • Project Management skills
