Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Cardiology Support Specialist to become a vital member of our Cardiology department at the West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust.

Our Community Diagnostic Centres (CDCs) are being developed nationwide to enhance local access to essential diagnostic services.

The Newmarket CDC will provide a wide array of outpatient tests annually, including Cardiology services, CT, MRI, X-ray, Ultrasound, blood analysis, and Respiratory assessments. This initiative aims to ensure that local communities have prompt and convenient access to necessary diagnostic procedures in a state-of-the-art facility. The centre will operate seven days a week, significantly reducing wait times and addressing health disparities by facilitating timely test arrangements, result communications, and treatment scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for enthusiastic and driven individuals to join our Electrocardiography (ECG) and Ambulatory Monitoring team within Diagnostic Cardiology.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in conducting 12-lead ECGs and fitting ambulatory monitors.

The ability to work autonomously within an ECG team is essential.

A commitment to obtaining a professional ECG qualification with the SCST is required.

It is crucial to treat all patients with the dignity and respect they deserve.

Your role will involve making a positive impact on our patients' experiences.

Strong communication and listening skills are necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • Level 2 qualification or equivalent experience
  • Willingness to pursue SCST Certificate in Electrocardiography
