Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Science Assistant/Senior Healthcare Science Assistant to join our Cardiology team at the Newmarket Community Diagnostic Centre.
As a Community Diagnostic Centre, we are part of a government programme to improve local access to diagnostic testing. Our centre will deliver approximately 100,000 outpatient tests a year, including Cardiology, CT, MRI, X-ray, Ultrasound, blood tests, and Respiratory services.
Our team is responsible for Electrocardiography (ECG) and Ambulatory monitoring. We are looking for passionate and ambitious individuals to join our team and contribute to delivering high-quality patient care.
Main Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include performing 12-lead ECGs, fitting ambulatory monitors, and working independently in an ECG team. It is essential to have a Level 2 qualification or equivalent experience and a willingness to work towards a SCST Certificate in Electrocardiography.

Education and Qualifications
Essential
- Level 2 qualification or equivalent experience
- Willingness to work towards SCST Certificate in Electrocardiography
Experience and Knowledge

- Experience in a healthcare environment
- Experience performing 12-lead ECGs
- Experience fitting ambulatory ECG/BP monitors
- Basic ECG knowledge and ability to recognise significant abnormalities
