Geo-Environmental Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Geo-Environmental Engineer to join our team at Central Alliance, a member of the RSK Group. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to our growing team in Wakefield, UK.
About the Role:This role involves supporting the Geo division and requires a strong background in geotechnical engineering, with a focus on environmental aspects. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and managing ground investigations, logging soil and rock in accordance with BS5930:2020, and managing ground investigation works, including pricing and health and safety documentation.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and manage ground investigations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Log soil and rock in accordance with BS5930:2020, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
- Manage ground investigation works, including pricing, liaising with suppliers, and preparing health and safety documentation.
- Oversee on-site safety, paperwork, and subcontractors, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Adhere to working instructions, as specified by internal and external clients, and provide factual reporting, data processing, and data management.
- Assist senior staff with project-related duties, including completion of desk-based studies and overseeing department equipment.
- Attend and pass internal and industry-recognized external training courses, such as PTS, NRASWA, CCNSG, towing license, CAT, First Aid, and manual handling training.
- Adhere to SHEQ policies and procedures, maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Geo-Environmental Engineer with a strong background in geotechnical engineering and a focus on environmental aspects. The ideal candidate will have a BSc in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field, and experience in supervising and managing ground investigation contracts, compliance with Construction, Design & Management regulations, and production of Health & Safety documentation.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, solutions-focused, organized, and have effective time management and a positive attitude. They will also have a clear, open communication style, with the ability to conduct business in a professional and polite manner at all times.
