About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Geo-Environmental Engineer to join our dynamic team at Central Alliance, a member of the RSK Group. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional services to our clients while making a positive impact on the environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage ground investigations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Travel throughout the UK, working on-site and collaborating with clients to deliver high-quality results.
  • Log and record soil and rock samples, adhering to BS5930:2020 guidelines.
  • Manage ground investigation works, including pricing, supplier liaison, and health and safety documentation.
  • Oversee on-site safety, paperwork, and subcontractor management.
  • Adhere to working instructions, as specified by internal and external clients.
  • Prepare factual reports, process data, and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist senior staff with project-related duties and contribute to the development of departmental equipment.
  • Attend and complete internal and industry-recognized training courses, such as PTS, NRASWA, CCNSG, towing license, CAT, First Aid, and manual handling training.
  • Maintain adherence to SHEQ policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the maintenance of ground investigation engineering equipment.
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Geo-Environmental Engineer who shares our passion for delivering exceptional services and making a positive impact on the environment. To be considered, you should have:

  • A BSc in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in supervising and managing ground investigation contracts.
  • Ability to work in compliance with Construction, Design & Management regulations and produce Health & Safety documentation.
  • An unwavering commitment to safety and improving ways of working.
  • Experience in people management and a flexible approach to work.
  • Self-motivation, a solutions-focused attitude, and effective time management.
  • Clear, open communication style and ability to conduct business in a professional and polite manner.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and at various locations throughout the UK, when required.
  • Adaptability to variable working environments and a love of the outdoors.
  • A manual, valid UK driving license and unrestricted work rights in the United Kingdom.
