About the Role

Russell Taylor Group Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Vehicle Test Technician to join our team. As an Electrical Vehicle Test Technician, you will be responsible for operating multiple test rigs, supporting the installation and calibration of systems, and supporting complex electronic systems while maintaining high workplace standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate on the powertrain test rigs for external clients
  • Be involved with project set-ups and test cell operation
  • Operating multiple complex test rigs outside of typical hours using specialized test methods
  • Supporting the installation and calibration of data acquisition systems
  • Ensure all instrumentation used is calibrated to the company's rigorous procedures
  • Assist in the debugging and development of complicated electronic systems with high-speed serial interfaces
  • Support rig or Cell operation and installation with both mechanical and electrical assembly & disassembly tasks with a keen awareness of the company's electrical system standards
  • Liaise with suppliers, customers, and colleagues in a professional manner to develop a strong & productive relationship
Requirements
  • Masters' qualification in a mechanical or electrical engineering discipline with industry experience or experience from a mechanical background
  • Excellent communication skills with internal teams and external clients
  • Highly motivated with a strong ambition to succeed
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Good at maintaining consistent paperwork and documentation
  • Adaptable with the ability to learn quickly
  • Machining knowledge with the ability to interpret CAD drawings for rigging purposes
  • Confidence with I.T Systems
