Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Propulsion Test Technician to support our clients in the development and testing of powertrain systems. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical or electrical engineering and experience in powertrain testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and deliver powertrain testing projects for key OEM and tier 1 clients
  • Work on combustion engines and transmissions, as well as hybrid systems and electric propulsion
  • Mechanical and electrical rigging, fitting and operating test systems
  • General engineering tasks
  • Supporting propulsion test programmes
  • Resolving customer complaints
  • Recommending and coordinating appropriate corrective actions
  • Identifying problems and faults as they arise

Requirements

  • Vocational qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering
  • Extensive experience in powertrain testing
  • Proven Powertrain or Vehicle component fitting skills
  • Practical knowledge of vehicle systems
  • Knowledge of AC and DC electrical systems
  • Adaptable and comfortable working autonomously
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools for manual tasks
  • Excellent understanding of H&S
