Position Overview
The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable individual for the role of Research Faculty within the Advanced Manufacturing Logistics Institute. This position emphasizes a commitment to research excellence and collaborative efforts in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Research Engagement
- Demonstrate scholarly contributions through publications, artistic performances, and presentations of original research findings.
- Engage in service activities including committee participation and administrative responsibilities to enhance faculty and student experiences.
- Instructional Duties
- Classroom teaching responsibilities may be assigned, ranging from 0 to 25% of total duties.
Essential Qualifications
- PhD in Advanced Manufacturing Logistics or a closely related discipline.
- In-depth knowledge of the field, current research trends, and the ability to establish a robust research agenda.
- Proven experience in securing funding, preparing grant proposals, and managing submissions.
- Ability to foster teamwork in research and project initiatives.
- Collaborate effectively with research teams, industry partners, and governmental organizations.
- Plan, oversee, and execute research projects.
- Proficient in grant writing and managing research funding expenditures.
- Support the overarching research goals of the institute.
Additional Insights
A minimum of 7 years of experience in a Research Faculty capacity is highly desirable, though not mandatory.
