Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team at the Advanced Manufacturing Logistics Institute. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research in advanced manufacturing logistics, developing effective research agendas, and collaborating with industry stakeholders and government agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in advanced manufacturing logistics, including developing and implementing research activities, writing and submitting grants, and managing research grants expenditures.
  • Collaborate with research teams, industry stakeholders, and government agencies to promote a team effort within the department for research and project activities.
  • Develop and implement effective research agendas, including identifying sources of funding, preparing research proposals, and submitting funding applications.
  • Use research results to write reports, papers, and reviews, and present findings in journals and conferences.
Requirements
  • PhD in Advanced Manufacturing Logistics or a related field by date of hire.
  • Knowledge of a subject/field and current research in a discipline housed in the department.
  • Abilities:
    • Develop effective research agendas.
    • Help identify sources of funding, prepare research proposals, and submit funding applications.
    • Promote a team effort within the department for research and project activities.
    • Use research results to write reports, papers, and reviews, and present findings in journals and conferences.
    • Collaborate with research teams, industry stakeholders, and government agencies.
  • Skills:
    • Help develop, manage, and implement research activities.
    • Write and submit grants.
    • Assist in managing research grants expenditures.
    • Support the research agenda of the program.
    • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
    • Scientific writing skills demonstrated through peer-reviewed publications.
    • Ability to acquire accurate, reproducible data.
    • Excellent project and time management skills.
    • Strong interpersonal and mentoring skills.
    • Advocate for safety and ethics in the workplace.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience in research and development in advanced manufacturing logistics.
    • Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
