Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Respiratory Medicine Specialist to join our team at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Locum Consultant in Pulmonology, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our respiratory services.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in respiratory medicine and a proven track record of delivering excellent patient outcomes. You will work closely with our existing team to provide comprehensive service provision, including outpatient clinics and service development. Additionally, you will provide cover for the dedicated ward by delivering ward rounds and providing specialist advice to other areas of the hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of our respiratory services
  • Work closely with our existing team to provide comprehensive service provision
  • Provide cover for the dedicated ward by delivering ward rounds and providing specialist advice
  • Participate in the student teaching rota and administrative duties associated with patient care
  • Contribute to the running of the department in collaboration with consultant colleagues
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with the following skills and experience:

  • MBChB or equivalent qualification
  • MRCP or FRCS of equivalent to specialty (UK) or equivalent CCT or within 6 months of AAC date
  • On Specialist Register with GMC and continue to hold a licence to practice
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in multi-professional teams
