About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Custody Paramedic to join our team at HCRG Care Group. As a Custody Paramedic, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality healthcare to individuals detained by the police or other agencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake comprehensive clinical assessments and provide care to individuals in custody
  • Manage minor illnesses and injuries, and refer onwards for more serious conditions
  • Conduct forensic examinations and collect DNA evidence as required
  • Provide written statements and attend court or tribunal as necessary
  • Maintain accurate and complete clinical records
  • Assess alcohol and drug intoxication and withdrawal
  • Identify vulnerabilities and safeguarding pathways
  • Support the clinical governance agenda of the organisation
  • Administer medications through patient group directions and patient treatment protocols

Person Specification

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Custody Paramedic who is passionate about delivering high-quality healthcare in a custody setting. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role and be able to demonstrate excellent clinical skills, communication, and interpersonal skills.
