About the Role

Custody Paramedics play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to individuals detained by the police or other agencies. As a Custody Paramedic with HCRG Care Group, you will be responsible for undertaking comprehensive clinical assessments, providing healthcare interventions, and managing minor illnesses or injuries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake forensic examinations of persons in police care, recording and providing opinions on cause of injuries and collecting DNA evidence as required.
  • Provide written statements as required and attend courts or tribunals following relevant training.
  • Make and maintain complete and accurate clinical records, assessing alcohol and drug intoxication and withdrawal, and identifying vulnerabilities and safeguarding pathways.
  • Administer medications through patient group directions and patient treatment protocols.
