Role Overview
As a key member of our local procurement team, you will support the operations at your designated site while adhering to the overarching National procurement strategy. This position offers diverse exposure to various procurement tasks and challenges, with a primary focus on maintaining optimal stock levels for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Stock Management Specialist will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Assisting the buyer with daily procurement activities
  • Procuring both standard and non-standard stock items while ensuring cost-effective inventory levels
  • Gaining a comprehensive understanding of the entire supply chain process
  • Actively working to minimize stock holding and material costs
  • Ensuring timely and cost-efficient purchasing transactions
  • Managing purchase orders and related administrative tasks
  • Collaborating with existing suppliers and identifying new sourcing options as needed
  • Understanding the financial implications of stock holding costs, including obsolete and damaged items
  • Partnering with the sales team to proactively manage inventory and support sales initiatives
  • Developing and maintaining a thorough knowledge of all packaging solutions
