Role Overview
As a vital member of our local procurement team, you will support the operations at your site while adhering to the overarching National procurement strategy. This position offers a diverse range of experiences in procurement tasks and scenarios, with a primary focus on maintaining optimal stock and inventory levels for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Stock Management Specialist will engage in the following activities:

  • Assist the buyer with daily procurement tasks
  • Procure both standard and unique stock items, ensuring cost-effective inventory levels by negotiating prices when necessary
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the entire supply chain process
  • Proactively seek opportunities to minimize stock holding and material expenses
  • Ensure purchasing transactions are executed in a timely and cost-efficient manner
  • Manage purchase orders and related administrative tasks
  • Communicate with current suppliers and identify alternative sources as needed
  • Understand the financial implications of stock holding costs, including obsolete and damaged inventory
  • Collaborate with the sales team to effectively reduce inventory levels and support sales initiatives
  • Cultivate and maintain a thorough knowledge of all packaging solutions
