Electrical Design Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Safran Seats. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for aircraft seats, ensuring compliance with company, regulatory, and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and Development: Produce electrical installation models and detailed drawings using various software packages, including CATIA V5 and PLM software.
- Electrical System Design: Design and integrate electrical systems within aircraft seats, ensuring compliance with company, regulatory, and customer requirements.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with customers, suppliers, and OEMs to ensure successful integration of each design element within the product as a whole.
- Validation and Testing: Participate in the validation of the product, using methods such as prototyping and testing.
- Best Practices and Guidelines: Follow and contribute to the development of Best Practice guidelines.
- Education: Ideally qualified to a minimum of a degree in an Electrical Engineering field, or a HNC/HND or equivalent qualification as part of an Electrical Apprenticeship.
- Experience: Experience using 3D CAD and AutoCAD electrical software packages or equivalent.
- Skills: Understanding of the effective application of tolerances and a working knowledge of manufacturing processes, as well as OEM installation requirements.
- Communication: Good communicator, able to liaise with customers/airframers/suppliers and integrated programme team on a daily basis.
