Job Summary

We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for producing electrical installation models and detailed drawings. You will use various software packages to design new products and platforms that meet company, regulatory, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and integrate electrical systems within aircraft seats to comply with company, regulatory, and customer requirements.
  • Generate 2D/3D electrical installation and systems designs using CATIA V5 and PLM software.
  • Participate in Design Reviews throughout each phase of the New Product Introduction process.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with customers, suppliers, and OEMs.
  • Ensure the successful integration of each design element within the product as a whole.
  • Participate in the validation of the product using methods such as prototyping and testing.
  • Follow and contribute to the development of Best Practice guidelines.

Requirements

  • Ideal candidate should have a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience using 3D CAD and AutoCAD electrical software packages or equivalent.
  • Understanding of the effective application of tolerances and a working knowledge of manufacturing processes and OEM installation requirements.
  • Ability to read design drawings and specifications.
  • Good communication skills to liaise with customers, suppliers, and integrated programme teams.
