Access Control Project Manager

Our client has been delivering support to various sectors including local authorities, social housing providers, NHS trusts, and private clients for over four decades.

Due to the expansion of their operations, they are seeking an Access Control Project Manager to become a vital part of their team.


Role Overview:
As the Access Control Project Manager, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management of projects within the Security and Access Control division. This includes overseeing all operational activities involving supervisors, site operatives, and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all project phases from initiation to completion, including mobilization, pre-start meetings, daily operations, snagging, and handover.
  • Develop and issue site-specific Health & Safety Risk Assessments, Construction Phase Plans, work schedules, and logistics plans.
  • Participate in regular client meetings, addressing action points and reporting to senior management on any potential delays or cost implications.
  • Coordinate with Building Control as necessary for specific projects.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to both operatives and clients as needed.
  • Manage the daily activities of supervisors, engineers, and support staff, ensuring effective communication and task delegation.
  • Compile and present detailed reports for clients, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Conduct weekly site progress and Health & Safety checks, addressing any critical issues promptly.
  • Organize the delivery of materials and equipment in collaboration with supervisors.
  • Ensure that snagging visits and reports are completed by supervisors.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of project quotations for client approval.
  • Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act throughout all operations.
  • Collaborate with the Bid team to create initial scoping documents and gather supporting materials.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Possession or progress towards SMSTS qualification.
  • Possession or progress towards IOSH Managing Health & Safety qualification.
  • Valid driving license.

Remuneration:

  • Salary: £40,000 - £60,000
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with an unpaid lunch break.
  • Benefits: 21 days of holiday increasing by 1 day every 2 years of service (up to 25 days), plus statutory holidays, company car, mobile phone, laptop, employee assistance program, life insurance, employee referral scheme, training opportunities, and pension scheme (auto-enrollment).
