Our client has been a key provider of building support services to various sectors, including local authorities, social housing providers, NHS trusts, and private enterprises for over four decades.
Due to the expansion of their operations, they are seeking an Access Control Project Manager to become an integral part of their team.
Position Overview:
In this role, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management of projects within the Security and Access Control division. This includes overseeing all operational activities of a team comprising supervisors, site operatives, and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed successfully, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all project phases from initiation to completion, including mobilization, pre-start meetings, daily operations, snagging, and handover.
2. Develop and issue site-specific Health & Safety Risk Assessments, Construction Phase Plans, work schedules, and logistical plans.
3. Attend regular client meetings to report on progress and delegate necessary actions to team members.
4. Communicate any potential delays or cost implications to senior management for discussion.
5. Engage with Building Control as required for specific projects.
6. Provide technical support and guidance to both operatives and clients as needed.
7. Coordinate daily management of supervisors, engineers, and support staff, ensuring effective labor allocation.
8. Compile information and generate detailed reports for clients.
9. Ensure that weekly site progress and Health & Safety checks are conducted and documented by supervisors, addressing any critical issues.
10. Arrange for the delivery of materials and equipment in collaboration with supervisors.
11. Ensure snagging visits and reports are completed by supervisors.
12. Contribute to the application and invoicing processes for all projects.
13. Prepare and submit quotations for client approval.
14. Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act throughout all operations.
15. Collaborate with the Bid team to create initial scoping documents and provide relevant supporting documentation.
Position Requirements:
1. Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
2. SMSTS qualification or working towards it.
3. IOSH Managing Health & Safety qualification or working towards it.
4. Valid driving license.
Remuneration:
Salary: £40,000 - £60,000
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 am - 5:00 pm, with an unpaid lunch break.
Benefits include 21 days of holiday (increasing by 1 day every 2 years up to a maximum of 25 days), statutory holidays, company car, mobile phone, laptop, employee assistance program, life insurance, employee referral scheme, training opportunities, and pension scheme (auto-enrollment).
