Our client has been delivering building support services to various sectors, including local authorities, social housing providers, NHS trusts, and private enterprises for over four decades.
They are currently seeking an Access Control Project Manager to enhance their team in response to business expansion.
Role Overview:
As the Access Control Project Manager, you will oversee the daily operations within the Security and Access Control division. This includes managing a team of supervisors, site operatives, and subcontractors to ensure that all projects are completed successfully, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise all project activities from initiation to completion, including mobilization, pre-start meetings, daily operations, snagging, and handover processes.
- Develop and distribute site-specific Health & Safety Risk Assessments, Construction Phase Plans, work schedules, and logistics plans.
- Attend regular client meetings to report progress and delegate tasks to team members.
- Communicate any potential delays or cost implications to senior management for further discussion.
- Coordinate with Building Control as necessary for project compliance.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to both operatives and clients when needed.
- Manage the daily activities of supervisors, engineers, and support staff, ensuring effective labor management.
- Compile and generate comprehensive reports for clients.
- Ensure that weekly site progress and Health & Safety checks are conducted and documented by supervisors, addressing any critical issues promptly.
- Organize the delivery of equipment and materials in collaboration with supervisors.
- Oversee snagging visits and ensure reports are completed by supervisors.
- Participate in the quotation and invoicing processes for all projects.
- Ensure compliance with the relevant sections of the Health and Safety at Work Act.
- Collaborate with the Bid team to create initial scoping documents and provide necessary supporting documentation.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Currently holding or working towards an SMSTS qualification.
- Currently holding or working towards an IOSH Managing Health & Safety qualification.
- Valid driving license.
Compensation:
- Salary range: £40,000 - £60,000
- Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with an unpaid lunch break.
- Benefits include 21 days of holiday, increasing by one day every two years of service (up to a maximum of 25 days), plus statutory holidays, company car, mobile phone, laptop, employee assistance program, life insurance, employee referral scheme, training opportunities, and an auto-enrollment pension scheme.
